Broad side panels and deep cargo-area creases

A ProMaster used for deliveries or trade work has a large body side exposed to parking-lot contact, loading activity and tight access. A scrape through the paint may sit beside a deeper fold in the metal. Damage can continue under side trim or reach the edge of the sliding-door opening.

Repair decisions depend on the part and the shape of the damage. A shallow area in the middle of a panel is different from a crushed edge or a crease across a body line. Refinishing follows the panel work, including the preparation needed to produce an even surface.

Rear doors that meet, close and latch properly

A rear impact can leave one cargo door sitting above or behind the other. Damage near a hinge, latch or door edge can change closing effort even if much of the painted surface looks undisturbed. Both doors and the surrounding body provide useful evidence of where the fit changed.

The practical result matters every time the van is loaded: the opening has to work as intended. An adjustment may be one part of the repair, but it is not an answer for every changed gap. The damaged parts and their mounting areas determine what is required.

Shelving and company markings around the repair

Bins, racks and a partition can turn the cargo area into a permanent work space. When that equipment covers the damaged body side, access may involve more than moving loose tools. Its mounts and any wiring near the repair area also have to be accounted for.

Company lettering or a wrap adds work on the outside. A repaired panel can cut through a logo, phone number or stripe that continues onto the next panel. Bodywork, paint and replacement markings need to be identified individually so the van's working appearance is included in the estimate.
