Sideswipes along a Transit cargo body
A tight turn beside a post or wall can leave a scrape that crosses the sliding door, lower body and fixed rear panel. The damage may change depth as it passes each edge. Repairing the door skin, a fixed body panel and a damaged molding involves different parts and access.
The body lines and gaps between those panels are part of the finished repair. A newly painted door that still rubs on the opening has an unresolved fit problem. Inspection distinguishes the visible scrape from damage to the door edge, hardware or body around it.
Rear-corner damage at the loading doors
Backing contact can involve a rear door edge, lamp, bumper and the corner beside the opening. Paired rear doors make a changed gap easy to notice: one edge may sit differently, the doors may meet unevenly or closing may take more force than before.
The outer panel and the parts controlling the door need to be evaluated together. Where a rear camera, parking sensor or other electronic component is affected, its repair requirements come from the equipped vehicle and Ford repair information. Replacing the visibly damaged trim does not settle those requirements.
A mobile workshop behind the damaged panel
Tool drawers and shelving can block the inner body side of a trade van. A partition may limit access from the cab, while added wiring or equipment brackets occupy the area around the damage. The body repair can therefore include removal and refitting before the outside panel is ready for work.

The Transit still drives. Why include a sticking rear door in the estimate?
A door that began sticking after an impact may have damage at its edge, hardware or surrounding opening. Those parts affect loading access and how the door closes. The fact that the van can move does not resolve damage to the cargo opening.
